At Crags Community School, we offer a diverse, inclusive and personalised education with our pupils at the centre of everything we do. We encourage all pupils to take pride, be friendly and kind, show commitment and to be responsible citizens.

Pupils are taught in mixed classes and take part in the full range of National Curriculum subjects. Basic Skills in Numeracy and Literacy run throughout all areas of the curriculum. We have a team of dedicated and talented professionals, some of which are subject specialist teachers, for example in Physical Education. Creativity and Enterprise is a key part of everything we do and this is reflected in the quality and standard of work displayed around our school.

We provide extended provision beyond the normal school day including breakfast club and a diverse range of after school clubs and activities. Sports, cooking, music, community projects all feature on our afterschool timetable.

Pupils develop strong relationships with our staff and enjoy coming to school. Our extensive grounds, performing arts facilities, specialised Physical Education teaching and our range of ICT equipment makes us well equipped to meet the demands of the curriculum. We work closely with our community and pride ourselves on our external links with local schools.

Crags Community School is part of a child’s journey into adulthood. Throughout their time here, we hope to raise expectations and aspirations of all our children by providing the very best education for their future.
